Sewing loops onto a sleeping bag?

I ordered a ZenBivy sheet and I’m looking at adapting my current sleeping bag to it.
The comes with the hooks in the side so I need to see some loops onto the bag to attach it.
Any recommendations? We have a cheaper (Brother?) sewing machine that I believe will work based on the material that we need to go through. The bag is nylon on both sides with Polarguard HV insulation.
I’m thinking a patch on the inside to catch the thread and a patch over the loops (probably a paracord of some kind) to hold the loops on the outside.

Thanks.

Pull the inner strands from the paracord if you use it. It’s a mess to sew through.

I would use a flat ribbon not para cord. It will be easier to see through and something a bit wider will distribute the tension. Fold the ribbon over in the middle lengthwise. and then tack it in the middle where the hook will grab. Leave the tails wide so you can sew them on flat.

Sew where there is already a seam on the bag.

Yep - ribbon. I used it on my DIY quilt. You can get a spool of it in 1000 colors/patterns at Wally World dirt cheap. Go as small as possible as it doesn't need to hold much weight/tension. Alternatively, eliminate looping by using a single strip of ribbon. Melt an appropriate size hole for the hook, cut to length and sew in place. Good luck.

Yes, a grosgrain ribbon from Wally’s will be strong enough. You don’t need a webbing. Just leave a margin on the end of the ribbon so it won’t unravel.

I would sew the ends of the ribbon side by side with the middle portion doubled and sewn.

Appreciate the help. Hopefully get to try this weekend. Waiting on the ZenBivy sheet now.

There was a good post a while back that talked about modifying a quilt to attach to the Zenbivy sheet. I think @BBob even posted a picture where the zen bivy founder explained how to do it.
