I am interested in having a Browning A Bolt II re-barreled to a non-standard Browning caliber. Ideally, it would be a Stainless Stalker as a donor, but the only good candidate I have is a blued action. So, my question, is, are there coatings out there than can make the blued action as corrosion resistant as a stainless action would be or am I further ahead acquiring a stainless action to start with? Thanks.

If you're gonna strip it down that far, why not Cera-Kote (sp?) The whole thing to match?

That’s the plan right now, but I’m interested if that’s the best option, especially for the action, both inside and out. I can easily get all other replacement parts in stainless (screws, bolt handle, action screws or at least stainless look alike (floor plate, trigger guard, bolt cover thing in the back) and even have some already, except of course, the action.
