Seekins PH3 6.5 PRC 20” Woodland Shadow

Picked her up this week and got it fully setup today!

Gun weight empty w/ unloaded mag: 7.2#s
Finished build weight: 9.5#s

Scope: Trijicon Credo HX 4-16x50 MOA
Suppressor: TBAC Ultra 7 (6.5)
Rings: Seekins 30mm Low

I couldn’t be happier with this gun so far. The action on the PH3 is a huge upgrade over the previous version. Very smooth, no binding, tight tolerances. 60° bolt throw is great as well. The stock is the same as before, with the exception of the adjustable cheek piece. Some will say ‘I don’t need that’, which I won’t argue, and I would typically never buy a gun with that as an option. I did end up clicking it up one notch to help fine tune my cheek weld - so I’m absolutely not complaining about that.

I have an arca rail on order to add to the bottom, having that built in rail system is really sweet. The chassis system is also sweet.

I haven’t had a chance to play with the removable bolt head and barrel swap system, but I’m sure that won’t be too difficult.

Now it’s time to go shoot it!

Will update this post with groups and velocities.

Should shoot just as good as any other Seekins - looking forward to the report. I had just bought an Element 6.5 PRC last summer, so not sure I’ll get rid of it, but these new PH3s, Elements, etc all sound awesome.

I’m seeing this and thinking my current element is going to be hitting the market. These have about everything you could ask for. Probably going ph3 vs another element though.

Do you mind me asking where you ordered from? If you used euro optic, where in line were you? I hope mine looks half as good as yours does!

I got it through Hells Caynon Armory. I actually had one back ordered through Euro, but this guy got me one faster. I cancelled my back order from Euro, so maybe you jumped up a spot!

I’m a different color/caliber, but is refreshing they are hitting the streets!

I got my PH3 6.5 PRC 20" out yesterday for the first time. So far I'm very pleased with this gun.

The bolt, the cheek piece, the factory muzzle brake, the trigger break, the accuracy (as much as I've tested it). Groups and velocities were as follows: Factory Hornady 147 Match for all groups all 3 shot groups. Factory brake .49 MOA 2722 15.9 6.5, Area 419 Hellfire Match 1.25 MOA 2706 33.3 15.7, TBAC Ultra 7 .61 MOA 2720 11.0 5.2. Recoil reduction lest to most TBAC, Factory brake, Hellfire. I had some old loads left from a gun I had a few years ago that i used for getting on paper that were OAL 2.955 153.5 Berger and H1000, that's all I remember about that load. 1st shot was on paper and required a 3.5 mil right and 2 mil up, next adjustment was .2 up and .1 right. I had two rounds left that shot .31 MOA and were zeroed perfectly. The last two shots were fired by 2 different shooters. I'll test the remaining rounds I had loaded for my PH2 that are 156 Bergers that shot sub 1/2 @ 2930.

With having it almost 2 months, how has the accuracy been?

Nice looking gun and looks like it shoots. How does the action feel? Butter smooth? The only seekins I have shot was not great but that was a few years ago

New PH3 actions feel like a tikka! Super smooth!
Currently have my T3x and my PH3 in front of me. They have a slightly different feel, but equally as butter smooth in their own ways. Tikka has a slightly firmer bolt lock, but a looser feeling bolt tolerance that will run smooth no matter how dirty it gets. I feel like my Tikka will cycle smoothly in fossil form 1000 years from now.
The PH3 bolt lock is much more gentle and requires very little effort even with the firing pin forward, plus the 60 degree throw is easy. The bolt fits super snug in the action. Mine was a little rough out of the box just because of how snug it fits in the action, but once I cleaned it and put a little lube on, it's buttery smooth. I'll be interested to see how it handles dirt/sand in the field this fall.
