"not available in brown"......or......now available in brown?

Not picking on you Kevin, just clarifying because the pic looks like a brown material. I am about to place an order with you but you keep giving choices to consider......

Kevin, can you pitch the vestibules tight to the ground in high winds? All of the pictures I've seen have them elevated a little bit.

During the Facebook live event last night we had one pitched close to ground and one pitched up. The vestibule can be pitched very close to the ground .

The sage colored one was pitched very close

I'll add a bit on where we think the Eolus fits into the lineup.

Last year I did a bear hunt in September and took a DST tarp. IMO the Eolus is going to be a much better fit for early season trips where you would normally opt for a tarp.

It'll be about the same weight in Silnylon, $70 more, but offer MUCH better storm protection. If I had the choice of spending a week under a DST or Eolus and know it's going to rain, then it's Eolus hands down.

The ability to add a nest makes it a good bug weather shelter (especially ticks) .

In DCF, well it's a 12-13 oz shelter big enough for two 6'6" guys and with the nest can go into mid seasons pretty comfortably.

Late season I'd rather have something pitched tight to the ground with a sod skirt for drafts and a stove.

Are extra stake loops able to be added when ordered? The videos made me want about four more (around the 2 minute mark).

No they are not , the wind was consistently 75-110 in the video . Considering it is the weight of a 10 by 10 tarp essentially there really is not a comparable shelter in our opinion .

Also extra stake loops would not allow the zipperless closure to work .

Adding two zippers will add close to a half pound .

Kevin, interesting closure idea on the Eolus , I’d like to hear a little more about the operation of it. Is there a video that shows this in detail, also do both ends have this feature?
