Seek outside just keeps getting better. Now you can custom make a bag with any of their regular add ons. So basically mix and match to make the exact bag you want. It looks pretty sick.
Even though I bought a Goshawk 4800 last fall, this is tempting me to build my own "ideal" setup. Like a full zip 6000 CI bag with long spotting scope pockets anyone? Sounds like the ultimate extended trip pack.

We get a lot of feedback and requests for different packbags...sizes of a style we don't make, or different pocket layouts on a particluar pack, things like that.

The custom shop gives choices of three packbag colors, three accent colors, four packbag sizes - 3500, 4800, 5400, and 6000 - four side pocket options, three face pocket options, and options for hydro ports and side zippers. You can add frame extensions, top lids, talons, lumbar pads, etc, separately.

Build it the way you want it.

I'll be honest, these packs will be priced at a premium compared to our standard packs. It is much more efficient to stack cut and sew a lot of one pack than it is to cut and sew one of something completely different.

Is there a load shelf option like in the Saker?

Good Lord this is sweet! Is there a way to get weight estimates?
We will add that over time but it gets complicated. Suffice to say , a good starting point is the similar pack and then plus or minus. So for instance I had a Lanner on integrated frame built , with bottle pockets instead of deep pockets our of X33 MC. Integrated is roughly and 8 ounce saving, MC saves a bit over olive (about 2 ounces ) .. and the pockets probably save 2 more ounces so I would expect 12 ounces less than the Revolution one in green so about 3 lbs 12 ounces within a couple ounces.

General guidlines
-- Breakaway is about 8 ounces
-- 4800 size bag Gray - MC +2 Olive +3 .. a little less on smaller bags a little more on 6000
-- Full zip probably 3 ounces

Thanks for the details Kevin. You had to go and mention an option that doesn't appear on the custom builder though with the xpac pockets!

WOW very cool. Had this option been available a few months ago I would have most likely purchased a pack. Instead I went with a kifaru frame and I am sewing my own bag for it because I want exactly what I want ha ha. This custom option from seek would allow me to get almost exactly what I want and not have to sew myself.

No I used just XPAC for bag with MC 500 accents .. I built it from the builder.

10-4. Order placed.

6000 Series X33 xpac, no zipper, Gila style mesh pocket, lanner side pockets. Should be a bitchin lightweight and weather resistant bag.

Yes. You specify if you want Integrated or Breakaway. Breakaway of course is the load shelf / detach packbag and carry meat between Bag and frame.

We're doing Pack Bag Only and also regular Backpacks so folks who already have a suspension can pick up just the bag.

You're missing the zipper. LOL I will never own a bag without a full zip. I use the zip more for packing then access. Lay the bag flat, open the zipper and place items exactly were you want. so helpful when loading up meat. Works for me.

I used to feel the same way. I have Peregrine, Broadwing, and Exo bags with zippers and find I don't use them a ton, and they let water in. That and my meat never goes inside the bag. This is more of a dedicated no frills light weight / wet conditions bag and I'll save a little weight sans zipper and avoid using a pack cover.

Way to go SO. What a great idea. I think many people are willing to pay a premium to get exactly what they want. I got my Revolution 6300 almost two years ago and love it.

If I were getting a new one today would I go this route? Maybe to get either camo or black accents but I see it as a real opportunity to add a second bag and fully customize it.

The second bag could contain a separating side zipper and be used when the forecast is going to be dry or the second bag could be a small 3,500 series bag used as a day pack. Now you have both large and small volume bags.

Lots of opportunities and kudos to SO!

I just got the email for the custom BYOB packs. I got on there and made the pack i want and it was only like another $60. I didnt think that was too bad for custom pockets and add-ons. . I've been back and forth on maybe getting a new pack this year. Just passed on the deal Argali had on a mystery ranch metcalf i was think about getting. Glad i did now. Bad thing is it looks like I might have to spend another $500 on hunting equipment this year. Dammit!

I wish they'd offer to build bags for their competitors platforms as well.

I like my SG, and their suspension works great for me... but I really enjoyed the Saker bag itself when I owned one... the SO platform just doesn't work for me, however.

I think they'd see a number of people with exo/kifaru/sg/etc frames ordering SO bags. At least I would, anyhow.
