For sale hot tent setup $725 $700 $675 shipped. Venmo or PayPal (either F&F or include the applicable fees if you want to go that route)

Seek Outside Backcountry Shelter II with
Seek Outside Carbon Fiber center pole.
18" LiteOutdoors Titanium stove with 7.5' chimney. I did the seam seal years ago so it wouldn't hurt to do check them but I've never had a leak.

Older setup that has treated me very well but honestly I don't use these days. The BCSII is the predecessor to the Redcliff and is great for 2 guys with a ton of great. A couple holes in the sod skirt bthat got in a fight with the stakes (does not affect tent performance). No burn holes that I'm aware of. Spent some serious nights in awful weather but decided I don't like sleeping on the ground anymore. All proceeds go to cover outstanding debts owed by my late father's debts.

The LiteOutdoors titanium stove is one of the first he made. Very light but being the first generation it is flawed such as smaller door and turnbuckle tensioners But this thing will flat out cook you out of the tent.

Total setup is just over 6lbs (tent and stove together)

I's a bit heavier than I'd like, but a less expensive than a $1,000 HMG Ultimid 4 plus the cost for installing a stove jack; which is what I'm contemplating since I can't find a DCF Cimarron.

Can you tell me please, what is the center height? Diameter or length/width (still trying to find dia/length/width online)? Is the zipper flap ok near the top (not melted)?

Any idea of the difference between BCS II and I?

Consider selling BCS by itself?

Thank you.

When setting it up your goal is to extend the pole to 6'10". I am just shy of 6' and can stand at the pole with headspace.

No damage to zipper the stock jack is quite a distance from the pipe. The tent has 2 zippered entrances. Very convenient for 2 or more sleeping so you can sneak out to pee at night.

The dimensions will be very similar to the Redcliff though not exactly due to their design changes so I believe this is slightly smaller in footprint due to design changes they made. If I didn't have 5 inches of snow in the yard I'd pitch it to get exacts. Seek Outside still has pitching instructions up which may help

No idea about the difference between BCS I and II. My guess is efficient pitching and maybe addition of the 2 zippered entries

I prefer to keep things together right now as a package but may consider splitting later

These are the main differences between the BCS and BCS2 that I am aware of:
-two zippered entrances with the stove jack between them
-Slightly lowered height
-eliminated the "tail" at the rear
-a few inches wider at the rear
-A bit heavier than the BCS1, but only 2-3 ounces more than the BCS1 with the optional zip-in panel

Here's some info on the original...I have one...it comes in at just under 3lbs without the screen panel, and just about 7'. Here are some pics of the original BCSA with the panel.

It's and AWESOME really well thought out and design EdT shelter...

mthuntr;

Sorry to hear about your dad. Had same loss 3 years ago. He was only 88.

Is the stove jack mounted dead center in the vestibule, or off to one side? Can't tell from the pics.

Thank you.

Thanks dad battled multiple myeloma for a decade and eventually the combination of the treatments and cancer beat him up. In the end he decided that quantity of life wasn't worth the lack of quality of life so he opted out of treatments. He was only 66.

Yes it's centered on the vestibule. It's hard to see but in the picture where the tent is completely covered with ice and snow it's in the center panel.

I have the original BCS with a Ti stove. It‘s a great setup! Cold nasty nights in the backcountry turn into warm comfy in the tent with the stove.

Willing to split...make an offer.

I will be in Boise next week so I could possibly deliver which could help reduce the price.
