On the cusp of acquiring a 1941 in 30-06. With the longer distance between bases due to the stripper clip cut out, I'm thinking I'm going to need to look at longer tubes. Currently has Weaver bases. Ideas? I know I can see for myself when it's in hand, but just thinking.

Being 1941 it well may be a "govt .30", not much difference and there's not a plethora of options "out there"
the action will be heavy so "lightweight" is not relevant - Warne (in Portland, OR) might be a source for options

I've got a new Burris Fullfield waiting to light somewhere. This rifle has had a recoil pad added so it's not pristine. It is stamped 30 Gov't 06, as does my 1949 30-06. I used Talley extended mediums to mount a Fullfield E1 on my .270.
