I'm changing a few components out on my 300 RUM and am going to use it as an opportunity to change up my scope mounting system. I've been using talley one pieces mounts without issue but I feel like I'm probably pushing my luck with such a hard recoiling caliber. The rifle has a brake but its still a solid kicking gun. I'm looking at the Hawkins Hybrids but I am not sure as to whether they would be a step up from the talleys as far as reliability or not? Has anyone used them on a heavy recoiling rifle like the RUM? Otherwise I am looking for suggestions for a rail and rings preferably that doesn't break the bank.
