Scarpa R-Evotuion Plus GTX Review and Video
Scarpa R-Evo Plus GTX Review - YouTube
Just to give you a background, I am looking for an early season elk hunting in Idaho. Here is what I am looking for out of a boot: • Under 3.5lbs. • Full rand • Must be waterproof • Good Ankle support • Good lacing system • Under $400
The Scarpa R-Evotuion Plus GTX fit all those categories. It actually came in at 3lbs! IMOP This is an excellent boot! Great finish, full rand and Vibram sole. The ankle support was awesome and the boots sock fit and lacing system as well as some padding between the heal and ankle really helped lock my heel in place. I really loved these boots, but there was one major problem. They were a bit to narrow in the toe box. There was just no way I was going to take a chance and try to make these work. For someone with a little narrower of a foot, these would be a great elk hunting boot. But like most of the Scarpas they were just a little too narrow for me. If you have any questions, make sure and let me know.
