FWIW I had a similar issue with my Scarpa Evos being too stiff and feeling clunky. I actually went with the Crispi Thor II which are one of the lightest boots they make and even though they’re rated in the stiff side, they don’t have the chunky ski boot feel. Great boots.

Yeah I thought a little more weight on my feet wouldn't a big issue but clearly was wrong.
