Hey guys I have a savage model 10 in .308 I got in a trade a few years ago. I have never shot it so I don't know much about it. I took some pics and was wondering if you guys can help identify what model this is. It is heavy. Looks like a heavy barrel . Not sure if the stock is from savage or aftermarket. Also this does not have a magazine so I'm not sure how many bullets it will fit.
How much would one of these go for as far as value? I might try and sell or trade depending on it's worth.

That stock is a B&C medalist, so aftermarket. You need to measure the distance between the action screws and that will tell you the age of it. What trigger is in it? Is it a accutrigger?

Looks like it has the barrel nut with the wrench notches and the top mounted bolt release... As was said, Accu trigger and bolt spacing? Based off the above items, at least 4-5 years back I would guess.

I believe it's the accutrigger

Round receiver indicates it's not that old. That is a good stock, barring any bedding issues I bet it shoots the lights out. The mag should hold 4 rds.

What would you think this is worth? I don't really see one like this online to compare to

With the matte black finish and oversized bolt handle there's a decent chance it started out as a model 10FP. At that time F = synthetic stock (which was probably sold or tossed when it was upgraded) and P = Police. The trigger was adjustable down a little further than the standard accutrigger, I believe to 2.5 lbs instead of 3.5 lbs but this has been several years since I owned one. I believe the 308 came in 20 and 24" barrels in the earlier versions. I'd say that's what you probably have.

Savage Model 10FP LEF Tactical Rifle

Without digging too deep, the threaded barrel version of that rifle in the factory stock is around $625 on gunbroker, the stock is about $290 at Midway and I can't tell what the scope is but based on the sticker it is a Nikon. So that's around $900 new price for rifle and stock (minus some for the non-threaded barrel).

Don't know what used guns fetch in your area percentage of new price-wise, but I'd say around $600-700 not counting scope. Less for me, but I'm a deal hunter. :D Also depends on overall condition of the gun.

Yea savages in general don't hold a high value... thats kinda what makes them so great. $500ish with out scope is probably close. Cabelas just had new model 10Ts, that are relatively comparable for $450. The B&C stock will help you out a bit though.

Honestly Id shoot it a bit and see if you like it. I bet it shoots well.
