I have to say I really love this rifle. It shoots absolutely lights out, and I was planning on customizing it with a new stock, but I have other plans now and need the money out of this rig to help fund the next one. I'm going to throw this up on Gunbroker and get more pictures tonight, but I figured I'd post it here first and see if somebody wanted to jump on it.
I bought this rifle brand new from EuroOptic 18 months ago. I have hunted with it and target shot with it to the tune of exactly 125 rounds. It's in excellent condition and performs flawlessly. It does NOT have the extraction issue that some of the early Model 85's were plagued with. It's ejected the shells perfectly every time for me with the Sako controlled round feed. I had an early Model 85 in .204 Ruger that had this issue, so I was on the lookout for it early on.
This is basically everything guys want out of their Tikka but in a factory package. This rifle is 100% factory and not modified. Stainless 22” barrel, stainless bolt/handle, stainless bottom metal, stainless adjustable trigger, 5 Shot 1 MOA guarantee from Sako. It has the grey laminated factory stock. The rifle weighs 7.1 lbs on my scale (rifle only).
I ran a Leupold VX-6 on it and had some tracking issues so that scope got sent back to Leupold and is now on my Cooper .204. I got a crazy good deal on a brand new VX-5 4-20 x 52 from OpticsPlanet that I couldn't pass up, and put that scope on this rifle. I haven't shot the rifle with this scope on it, the scope is brand new and was just mounted a couple weeks ago. It sits on the Leupold Sako Opitlok bases and rings, a super solid set up. It has the duplex reticle and custom dial system. I did not have a turret cut for this scope by Leupold, so it comes with 1 free custom turret from them.
The Sako factory box and Leupold factory box will both be included. I'll also throw a box of the factory ammo I ran through this rifle (only ammo this rifle ever saw). It's the Hornady Superformance .260 Rem 129 Grain SST. There's a photo of the last 6 shot, 100 Yard group I shot with this ammo below.
I am selling this rifle as a used/as is package and have deeply discounted it accordingly. Somebody is going to get an outstanding rig for a really good price. This is a $1,500 rifle and a $1,500 scope if both ordered brand new.
My price, from my FFL to your FFL is $1,850.
This includes the rifle, scope, bases, factory Hornady ammo, and factory boxes for both the rifle and scope. I will get more pictures up tonight as I am at work now and these are the only photos I have on my phone of the rig. In the photo, that's the old Leupold VX-6 on it, I shot that coyote at 385 Yards with this rifle.
Please text me if you are serious as that's the fastest way to get a hold of me. I will check for PM's later tonight when I am home.
