Sold Sako 75 in 338 Win Mag

Very nice Sako 75 ("Sako V") in 338 Win Mag. 5 shot group shown at 100 yds using factory Hornady SST 225gr. No doubt group could be better, guess I'm more recoil sensitive than I thought, haha. Factory trigger is adjustable (excellent trigger imo). Not sure of total number of rounds down the tube, likely less than 50, but no way for me to verify that. I bought it from a friend 15 years ago and have only put 34 rounds thru it myself. He likely shot it only a couple times (he HATES recoil). Condition is excellent, hasn't been hunted with, can take more pictures upon request. This really is a beautiful rifle.

- Limbsaver butt pad installed (have original that can go with as well)
- Scope is NOT included, but that's negotiable I suppose.

Awesome rifle. I have the same rifle in 300wm and 25/06. Both shoot .5” and are tough as nails. I’ve had both out west on several hunts and they’ve performed flawlessly. Already have a 338 or I’d be looking seriously at this one. GLWS.

Thanks for the feedback! I agree, it's really a nice rifle, seriously considering just rebarreling it to a more useful (for me) caliber, maybe a 7RM or 264WM. No rush on that though, don't need another project right now.

Guess I should ask to clarify...my understanding is that this is a Sako 75, but it's marked "Sako V". I believe it's a 75 and the "V" denotes the receiver model (V being a magnum)? Seems like most 75's have a detachable magazine, this has a floor plate. I think that's because it's a magnum receiver. Does this sound correct?

Anyway, if this can find a new home, I'm ok with that as well. For now it'll just sit in the safe.

My Sako 75 V in 300 RUM has the BDL style floor plate, another Sako 75 V has a detachable mag (7mm STW).

Ah, so it seems maybe the "V" is only about receiver (magnum) and doesn't dictate floorplate or not. I appreciate the input @TAArrowood and @No Promises.

I have a pretty new to me Sako stainless synthetic in 7mm rem mag it is marked as a v action and has a detachable mag. So yes I think you are correct the V just designates magnum action size/ length.
