As mentioned in a previous post , we’re planning a late September vacation for a week of loosely planned southwest SD, mid to northeast WY, southeast MT (maybe) sightseeing. Lodging already secured for Saturday through Wednesday. We’ll move back towards South Dakota for the last 2.5 days of sightseeing to be relatively close to Rapid City airport to make a Sat. morning departing flight. Any lodging recommendations in the Custer, Keystone, Lead, Spearfish, Box Box Elder, etc. area? Will consider ranch cabins, comfortable Airbnb’s, or whatever would be a good experience & outside of Rapid City. Clean & comfortable. Not interested in tiny house rentals. We’ll use the location as home base for 2 days of ranging out into the region. I think within an hour of the airport would be ok, but probably the closer the better. Thanks.
