Good afternoon,

wondering if anyone can run some #'s for me for a setup.

Mathews V3 31 29" draw 62#

Wanting 600-650 grain arrows

Axis 260's
3 AAE Hybrid 26 vanes
Nockturnal nocks
how much tip weight and insert weight would I need?

Thank you!

322g 28" carbon to carbon (11.5 grains per inch)
25g for the nock
25g fletching
=
372
228g on the front end give or take to hit 600 depending on the size of your outsert, how much more or less carbon you want ect

I will say at 62# you could use 300 spine axis and still be stacking 200g on the front end. When my bow is cranked down in that area and up to 66#i shoot 300 spine axis with 175g up front coming in at 530g. With the lighted nock and 200 up front you would be near 560 or so.

Roughly around 200-300 gr of combined point/insert weight depending on shaft length and where exactly you want to land between 600 and 650 gr TAW. Below are some possible combinations. For most of these combos 260 spine is a bit stiff, although it would likely still tune okay.

Id rather go up to 125s or 150s for point weight to gain some size on the broadhead. Prob makes no difference on mechanicals. What software is that?

I agree, I'd be looking at heavier heads if I wanted to put 200+ gr total on the front. I just plugged in 100 gr heads across the board for expediency.

It's just a Google Sheets file that I put together for scoping out arrow builds.

I have a 260 with the 50 grain HIT and even 300 grain field point is too stiff at 29 1/8 carbon to carbon.

Hoping to make a 300 spine Axis with 75 gr brass and 200 grain point work. Anybody know how long I should cut the arrow?

i like my arrow without nock or point to be a half inch less than my DL. So with a HIT for you 28.5. With a half out from easton another half inch off. Its different for different bow and rests. Personally i like a little space between my fingers and the broadhead.

Went to the shop last night, turns out my bow is 67.2#, not 62 like I thought.

Thinking BE Spartans 300 spine, 28.5", 26 gr steel insert w/50 grain weight, 200 grain heads should be about perfect. Gets me to 575 grains+/- a few with glue and if I go with wraps.

Should work?
