I am looking for first hand experience with the Rugged Road 65 coolers. I was looking for something bigger than the 65 they offer but after seeing how light weight yet durable these coolers appear to be, I may just get a couple.

Those look interesting, never could get my head around buying a 40lb empty cooler! Did buy a lifetime on closeout though.

Sold all my rotomolded coolers once I bought my first rugged road. By aware, their numbers are based off how many drink cans can fit in the cooler, not quarts.
They are coming out with an improved cooler, added gasket, anti slide pad on bottom 3etc.
They are great coolers and I’ve really enjoyed them.

If they use an industry non-standard can size instead of quart, how do we know their “7 day” ice retention claim doesn’t imply 7 days during the Alaskan winter?

Because we aren’t stupid.
Well, most of us anyways.

The ice retention I have seen and experienced equals to what my rtic coolers would do.

Check out Orca coolers. Made in Nashville, TN

Whereas Rugged outsourced their stuff to be made in “SE Asia” per an email response I received in June, asking where their stuff is made.
