Looks like Ruger has debuted the newest Marlins with the 1895 SBL in 45-70. A few things have changes but not a ton.

Some of the new features include a
- spiral bolt
- picarinny rail is standard with ghost ring site
- threaded barrel
- thinner forend

The press release doesn’t say what the MSRP will be.

Thanks for the link and can't wait to read reviews on it.

My "JM" 1895GS in 45-70 is hands down one of my favs and here's hoping Ruger has corrected the post Remington quality issues. Me really hopes yes, but time will tell.

Apparently they are going to be making a bunch of this model and start making different versions of the 1895, alongside the production of the 336. Then the 1894 pistol calibers.

I need a suppressed lever gun in my life, but it's not going to be in 45-70. I'm interested to see what else they eventually bring it out in.

Can’t wait for the 1894s to roll out next year. Suppressed 38s are a riot.
