Ruger American Gen II Ranch Ammo Testing - 6.5 Creed

Put 10 rounds through the gun last month to get it on paper and took it out yesterday for some ammo testing. Still very much breaking this gun in.

In general, I'm incredibly happy with the performance for a $600 gun with a $150 vortex scope... this is meant as treestand gun that could take a little abuse, and I wasn't expecting it to be a shooter, but what a nice bonus that it is

Anyway, here's 3 shot groups with precision hunter (top left), HSM Game King (top right), Norma Bond Strike (bottom left), norma whitetail (bottom right) and nosler whitetail country (middle).

The only one that wasn't MOA was the Norma Bondstrike. I did have a flyer with the HSM Game King that was user error so I'll exclude... I'm not the world's greatest shooter so I was thrilled with all these groups.

Happily, the cheapest option won this round - with all three shots from the nosler whitetail country touching. Will be loading up on that for the 2025 season

Shooter all around. Most guns these days shoot. Ammo and barrels are such higher quality with modern manufacturing. Great time to be buying.

For curiosity and statistical strength, try shooting the rest of the boxes into one group each. See what they look like.

Correct. Plan to hunt from a treestand / saddle w/ a suppressor most of the time

Sample size of 3 from each ammo, sample size of 16 from shooter. You've been tested more here than the rifles ammo preferences. As @hereinaz stated, a 15 shot group of remaining ammo would really show the ammos ability if you are able to hold up your end the bargain.
