I have looked at that head, as well as the Wiser Nighthawk. The Scout with SC-ARC has a lever actuated clamp instead of a twist knob like the other two have which is a deal breaker for me. I can't count the number of times I switch between bino and spotter and the lever is my preference even if it adds 2 oz more. I know I could add an adapter like the Tricer-GO to the other two to get the lever, but the Scout does it in a lower profile package. I haven't used any of the three at this point, just going off of the product info and reviews.

One more thing to consider is the wiser ph-170 has a removable head. It screws on with a 1/4-20. You could buy a different head with the quick release and attach that one instead.

I don’t have it. I actually have the Tricer lp with the Go attachement like you mentioned. But I’ve been looking in to wiser

I’m just not sure what head to replace the wiser with

ok, thanks for that. I didn't realize the ARCA base could be replaced on the Nighthawk. I see it can be...https://www.wiserprecision.com/pages/nighthawk. I'll look around for another base plate as I would consider going this direction.
