Well friends...I finally did it. After a number of you suggested it, I signed up for the St. Baldrick's Foundation to help in their fight against childhood cancer.

That's right, on March 12th yours truly will be getting his head shaved bald as a baby's butt at Fado's Irish restaurant in Annapolis, MD. My kids and wife think it will be a good look for me. We will see. Feel free to come on down and cheer me on or make fun of my new 'doo. Just don't laugh at the kilt or there will be trouble. :)

I need your help with fundraising part though. So, please follow this link, Larry Schwartz | A St. Baldrick's Participant, to my page at St. Baldrick's and make a donation. A $1 will work, $5 will work better, and $20 or larger would be great!!!

Larry, what a great thing you are doing. Child cancer is something that is hard to stomach. I just sold some gear. The funds will be available Monday as I did the transfer to my bank. I will donate then. I have a brother with Stage 4 Adrenal Cortex Cancer. They gave him 6 months initially, he has made it a year and a half. Cant wait to see the new look (I shave it every day, so doubt my doing it would help).

Done deal. I have a sick kid (Kawasaki Disease and an auto inflammatory disorder) and I've never experienced anything harder than watching your child suffer.

Sent. I truly hope we can get more support for this. I am going to share it on my facebook, hopefully that will help generate more funds for the most worthy cause.

Thanks HardcoreHunter, the more we can spread it around the faster I can reach my goal, and then hopefully bump it from $500 to $1000. BTW, tttoadman, that is a possibility although my better half isn't too thrilled with that idea; but it does grow back fairly quickly. :)

Thanks to everyone who has donated. I am at $215, almost half way to my goal of $500. If I reach the $500 by the end of the week I am going to bump the goal to $1000 and talk to the wife about the beard. ;)

You guys, as I already knew, are the best!!!

Well my fellow Roksliders, I first want to thank those of you who have pitched in to help fight childhood cancer, or to see me get my head shaved on 3/12. The Shave for the Brave (kiddies) is less than six weeks away and I have hit a plateau at $325 on my way to raising $1000 and I need your help to get off the plateau. So, please follow this link, https://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/884351/2017, to my St. Baldricks page and make a contribution. A $5.00 donation is good, $10.00 is better, and a $20 or more would be fantastic. And if you have any friends or family who might want to donate please feel free to pass it on to them as well.

It's for the kids, not for me.

Well, we bumped my goal up to $1000 and I am at $560 right now. If anyone else wants to help with the fight against childhood cancer, and see me get my head shaved in the process, you can donate on my St. Baldricks page at https://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/884351/2017. It is just a few weeks away, on March the 12th.

Hey! I'm signed up for that as well in Reno. Great cause, I have been doing it for the last few years. Good for you!
