Wanted to tell yall about my rifle build I built this year that’s working great for me so far and is shooting dead nuts (at the range since no tags have been punched) and wanted to hear about everyone’s build and what’s worked for them!
Rifle: Howa 1500 HS precision 300 Win Mag
Optic: Sig Sauer Whiskey 4 4-16x44 FFP (I know this is a mid tier scope so don’t tar and feather me for it but it’s been great for my applications and I’m really enjoying the zero stop, it holds zero after A LOT of 300 WM rounds through it and countless bumpy truck rides, brings in a ton of light, easy to dial, and has very clear glass)
Rail and scope rings: Running an EGW 0 MOA pic rail that I have epoxy bedded on my rifle and Gray ops 30mm precision scope rings at medium height (these rings are killer and come with a built in bubble level, very sturdy and the feel is so quality)
Brake: AR hunter EC tuner brake by Cortina precision (really like the tuneability this brake has and since running it and tuning it to my ammo I’ve been shooting 3/4 inch groups at 100 yards consistently)
Ammo: Berger 185gr Classic seems to be what my Howa likes most and I’ve been getting the most consistency from these rounds
Extra: Tactical sharpshooter stock pack (Love the feel of the cheek pad on this pack and it holds my rounds really tight and sturdy and the zipper pouch is great for my kestrel and dope cards when shooting further distances and I also fit some of my kill kit in or an Allen key tool for emergencies in the field if needed.)
