RFW Tag drawn

Just drew a cow elk tag at Deakins Ranch near Craig, CO. I applied for late season, tag is for January, because I thought it looks like winter range. Has anyone been hunting on this ranch in January that has any pointers? I know I need to get a packet from CPW, but it won't be ready to download until mid July. Any experience or advice is welcome. Thanks.

Well, in that vein, I pulled a RFW migration E/S elk tag in December, just outside of Maybell, the Elk Springs ranch. If anyone has any pointers, I'd be really happy to hear them. I'll be 67 by then and lone wolfing it. And to be honest, my elk success record shows that I don't have a clue.
