Replacement for SWFA SS HD 5-20 is in the works...

I emailed SWFA the other day (before I knew about the S2H scope) and asked if a replacement for the 5-20 was in the works and I got a response...

"A replacement for our discontinued SWFA SS HD 5-20X50 is in the works. I will offer a different magnification but that is all I can say about it now. We are hoping to release the new scope later this year."

Just passing that tidbit of information along. Seems like big news to me.

I may not have a need for it, particularly when I get the S2H 3-18x, but I don’t like the idea of SWFA stagnating and going under.

Right, there will still be a need for their offerings. Hard to beat what they can do for the price point. That's why I've got a soft spot for them.

I don't need the S2H scope either but will be ordering one of those too

Yeah, if I end up getting a couple of S2H scopes (I like the idea of the 2-8x36), I’ll just have to buy some more rifles for my SWFA scopes.
