Need help trying to decide what my next build should be. Typically use my guns for hunting. Being in Texas, that ranges from small varmints to Nilgai, and out of state Elk and Mule Deer hunts. Just starting to get into reloading, so would be open to a more non-complex wildcat. I also like shorter 18-22” barrels, as I hunt mostly suppressed. I currently have a well built .223, 6.5 PRC, 300 WSM, and .308. The 6.5 is lights out and covers most medium game. Also have factory guns in 300 AAC, 22-250, .243, .270, etc.
I have a Rem 700 SA carbon fiber McMillan Game Warden stock that I really like, with no home.
Thought about a 7-08 build (had some as kid and liked em), 22 Creedmoor, or sell the stock and get a LA and do a 300 PRC. Wouldn’t mind another smaller round for varmint hunting, or a larger round for big game. But that would involve selling the stock and my 300 WSM is being setup for 212-215 grain bullets.
What would you do?
