Selling a unicorn of sorts. This is a Remington 7400 Synthetic in .280 Remington. It's the only synthetic .280 I've ever seen, so I had to buy it. I sent the barreled action to Karl Kampfeld to have it Cerakoted in burnt bronze. John Blake painted the stock with a chocolate brown base (7-day cure) then gold and black webbing. The whole package looks awesome and is in as-new condition.
It's topped with a mint Bushnell 6500 Elite scope in 2.5-16x50mm configuration with 30mm main tube. It includes side focus down to 10 yards. Plex reticle. This is a Japan-made Bushnell, so the optics are outstanding and light-gathering is likewise exceptional. It's sitting in Talley Lightweight 30mm mounts. The package is sighted in and ready to hunt. I fired only 6 rounds to sight it in and get one 3-shot group, which was about 1".
The goal was to create a .280 Rem Model 7400 that was unique and an eye-catcher. The goal was accomplished. But alas my firearms ADD has struck again....I've found something else I think I need. This total package looks as-new. It's cosmetically perfect. Karl disassembled the rifle before applying the Cerakote, and he does great Cerakote work! I've spent too much money putting this together, and I'm offering it as less than I spent and paying shipping.
$1,050 shipped for the rifle and Talley 30mm mounts. Add $300 if you want the Bushnell 6500 Elite scope. I will not sell the scope separately unless the rifle sells. Cross-posted.
