The draw deadline for Arizona elk and pronghorn antelope hunts is almost here.

Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 by 7 p.m. (MST), is the deadline for applications for the draw for Arizona's 2014 elk and pronghorn antelope hunts to be received by the Arizona Game and Fish Department.

Submit online applications at https://az.gov/azgfd/draw/home.xhtml (scroll down and click on "Apply for a Draw"). Only VISA and MasterCard are accepted for online applications. Those applying online must still pay the non-refundable $13 application fee for Arizona residents and $15 for non-residents. This fee is charged as part of the application process for both online and paper applications. A portion of these fees is dedicated to habitat, public access and recruitment/retention efforts.

I put in for a bonus point only.
I am going to Alaska for a Dall and can't go to AZ as well so will put in for Elk in AZ next year

I just don't understand the hole draw bonus point stuff, if you don't get drawn you still have to pay for the license. And if you just want bonus points you still have to buy the license. I could imagine a guy could run up a hefty bill with all this stuff.

But you can apply for every species in the state for 15$ per species.. So its not horrible. Just the price of playing the game i guess.. Im just now getting into it.. I just hope one day I can draw a good tag

It definitely is an expensive undertaking. But the license is spread over 3 species in my case (Deer, Elk, and Sheep). AND since you have the license, you can head down and hunt OTC deer during the rut for just the cost of the permit.

I'm 6 points in for AZ. Should be close to drawing the units I'm interested in here in another 5 years or so.

Ya inbetween Cali, oregon, Washington and Nevada tags and fees, I've got zero left over for anything else.

Bought my 4th bonus point. Only 30 more more years to go. J/K I hope in another 7 or 8 I should be hunting in AZ. I have a goal to hunt AZ three time before I can't run the hill any more.
