I'm getting a Silvertip but may need to upgrade to a Cimarron in the future. I didn't see on SO's site what the recommended pipe length is for the Cimarron or the Silvertip? Also, I realize it would be long for the Silvertip, but is there any reason it would not work for both? If I can avoid buying 2 pipes it would be nice.

Thanks for the link. I don’t know how I missed that.

I ran a 6ft and this year went to a 7 with the more expensive unit…j
through several yrs had gotten about 10 spark holes so far none in the new setup..6 will do well but IMO 7 will protect your setup much better for a small weight difference

I use a 7' pipe for my Tigoat small wifi stove in my cimmaron. I chose the longer pipe in hopes it would help protect the tent from embers. I've got a good bit of use with the setup and only have 1 small ember hole, so I'd say it helps.

The seek website recommends 6 ft for the Cimarron but I ordered my stove with a 7ft. I think it will help prevent burn holes as well as slow the burn but I have only used it once.

I paired my Cimarron with a Lite Outdoors 18" stove with a 7ft pipe. It might be a tad on the long side but, as others have said, I'd rather add a little extra length to protect my tent from burns.
