Picking up a new lab puppy early July...We are flying to denver this weekend for a wedding, so I figured perfect time for some light reading on the plane. So naturally I turn to rokslide for the expert opinions.
Recommend me a good basic new puppy training book that I can get on Amazon and have it here in the next day or so.
Eventually will get into more serious training for grouse/pheasant hunting, but now just looking for a good basics book.
Thanks

I'm a big fan of clicker training. Good basic book here.

Labs are great. This is Milo. He is 6 months. The Brittany is Max... they are super fun and exhausting. :)

This!!! Even though you may not care about the pointing aspect, the info and approach with a young pup is awesome. Small investment for years worth of having a well behaved and trained dog. Bill Hillmann has some good DVD and video clips on early training as well. BillHillmann.net | Retriever Training with Bill Hillmann
