hello all, each year and buddy and I go hunt public land in a new state and this year we plan to go to northern Missouri. I am wandering if anyone on here has had any experience with rebels cove conservation area in Northeast Missouri. its a decent size piece of public land so just looking for some general information on it. feel free to pm me, anything helps!

Been there. Pretty populated being on the line for both states. Fair number of trails that seemed to have folks everywhere. This was during but prior to chase phase as a side note.

During late October and early November all those public areas in MO see a lot of pressure. Everyone waits to hunt the pre rut and rut so just because it's archery doesn't mean it isn't crowded

100% parallel to me observations.

Fair weather also brings others including non hunters or small game hunters out.

Also now with crossbow inclusion pressure has easily doubled for archery season.

You really think crossbows have added that much more people to the woods? That doesn’t seem to be the case in MW MO.

I'm pretty sure conversation dept released a report on it last year but maybe my reading comprehension was lacking.

I’m not trying to argue with you at all, just saying I haven’t seen that many more people in the woods since the crossbows became legal.
