RCBS Matchmaster seating die

I needed a 22 cal seating die for a 22 Creed. I got a used set of 22-250 Matchmaster dies. The seating die won't seat a bullet. With the seating stem cranked all the way down it just barely pushes the bullet into the case neck. The ram is camming over. Same thing with a 22-250 case. It is like the seating stem is too short.

Has anyone gotten different seating stems from RCBS? I sent them a message but haven't heard anything back yet.

Why in the world would you not just buy the correct die ? If your “rednecking “ it you might as well go all redneck. Cut the die off, low enough to seat your bullet.

Did you not read the part where it doesn't work with the correct cartridge it is supposedly for? You do know you can use 22-250 brass in a 22 Creed right? Is that rednecking it?

Also show me where there is a matchmaster 22 creed seating die in stock and I'll buy it right now.

I would have to cut off at least a quarter inch. Its obviously not right if it won't even work for a 22-250.

Thanks for the "helpful" post.

Well, there yea go. Cover your other calibers as well. And those are in stock as well. Never seen those customs before, sounds great though.
