Raptorazor

Has anyone had first hand experience with these? I saw them at the sportsmans show but they just look awkward to use vs a traditional knife?

I have and I prefer them over Havalons and traditional knives.

My only complaint is the aluminum handle version is heavy for backpack hunting so I'm going to try their injection molded model and see how that holds up.

I've only used mine on whitetail but two friends have used theirs on elk with great results. They have a couple good videos on their website.

I used the injection molded handle this year on one elk. I loved it. Has become our groups main knife now. I ordered bone saw this xmas to try on skull plate hopefully next year. I think a lot of you would love their knife.

not a big fan of the knife but the saw is awesome. I use it for gathering my firewood on pack in hunts. its a little heavy but very durable.

It's great for people who just have to have another gadget. It's a very specialized gadget made for one thing. I can do the very same thing and a lot more with my very old Buck folding knife that holds an edge forever, no need for replaceable blades.0625161112-00.jpg

So what animals have you used the Raptorazor on?

I don't need to use a Raptorazor on any animals because I already know my knife works on any animal, fish or bird.
I can also slice off a nice even piece of elk salami and a slice of cheese without having to assemble anything.:p

Sooo, another member asks for real world experience with it, you come on and basically tell us how awesome your old Buck knife is and that they're a gimmick, yet have never used one. Thanks for sharing.

I'll keep my buck knife for slicing cheese and the Raptorazor for dressing animals.
