Rain fly repair?

I have a tent with a rain fly with a plastic viewing window. I just found that its cracked and torn badly. Im leaving for a trip on staurday: anyone have any ideas beyond duct tape for a reasonable repair or am I up a creek and have to buy a new tent?

Any reason you cannot sew a piece of silnylon, or something similar, and water proof it before then?

Tenacious tape is awesome stuff, I believe that there is even a "clear" version.

Sew the window over for permanent repair.
