If someone with QL has a few minutes and can run this simulation, they are awesome!

33 Nosler
225 TTSX
3.35 COAL
22" barrel
I've also measured the case capacity of a few once-fired brass at 96.1 gr of H2O up to the case mouth with flat meniscus.

I believe RL17 and 26 would run well and will keep looking for them, but in this range of burn rate, I currently only have access to Accurate 4350, IMR 4350, Hybrid 100V, Superformance, Staball 6.5, and IMR 7828. I'd like to narrow down those powders and ranges of charge weights to test. My prior research, with limited data to draw upon, led me all over the map.

Thanks for any and all help!

Is the 7828 you have the SSC or just the regular 7828? If it's ssc7828 that's a good thing because the regular is much bulkier and you'll probably run out of space before you get enough of it in there to get velocity up. The 6.5 Staball will probably be one of your best performers if your 7828 isn't the SSC version.

Your 3.35 OAL is that anywhere close to touching the lands? If that's touching then that'll change, lower, the max charge weight so it's helpful to know if it is or isn't touching.

What specific QL information are you looking for?

My 7828 is not the SSC and I am also thinking it isn't ideal. The 3.35" OAL is the magazine max and that puts it well off the lands. I don't have the number with me but it far more than the recommended minimum.

I was hoping to find out which of these powders were going to be most promising and where a max charge might be so I can back off an appropriate amount and work upwards. There just isn't much data out there for this cartridge, much less with a 22" barrel and copper bullet. So I figured it would be worth the ask.

BBob, I am not sure how to read the GRT figures. For IMR4350, it has 71.8gr creating 62,000 psi but that is less than Hodgdon's starting load.

This is what I got from inputting your information into my QL and these are all, per QL, MAX 65,000 PSI loads so obviously don't start with any of these. I'd drop at least 5gr then work back up from there.

Accurate 4350 74.6gr 2857 FPS fill ratio 99.9 65K PSI

Hodg. Hybrid 100V 74.7gr 2822 FPS F/R 103.4 65K PSI

IMR 4350 75.2 2821 FPS F/R 101.1 65K PSI

Staball 6.5 81.8gr 2814 FPS F/R 101.7 65K PSI

FWIW, QL projections listed RL26 as the winner with regard to velocity at 2948 FPS

Thanks B23, this is helpful. Sure wish the RL26 was available. I can only guess the factory ammo makers are buying it all up as fast as it can be produced.
