Well after thinking about it for a while, code for years, and playing with Gordon's Reloading Tool. I finally pulled the trigger last month and purchased it. Why did a wait so long. The program is great for me. I have tons of powders that the books do not show for given bullet weights in some cartridges. Perfect example Reloder 22 in 6.5 PRC. I have pounds of the stuff and it works. While not the fastest for some bullet weights, it does well. I have just started to play with it. Great program and the projected velocities are real close so far. Wish I had purchased it sooner.

What does that thing cost? I’ve never used it and was wondering if it’s becoming out of date.

It’s about $150 last I looked and no way is it out of date. They update it regularly. You do have to pay for updates but it’s less cost than than an updated manual and has tons more capability.

The one I purchased is up to date. They release a new update yearly that is a like 30 bucks. Some of that you can do yourself. IE if Barnes adds a new bullet you use but you have an older quick load then just add the bullet manually. You have the option to do it with powder too I think but I would just get the update for that. If you are on the fence, play around with GRT Gordons Reloading Tool. That is free and ok but not as indepth as Quick Load.

Does it only work on a desktop or can you use it on your smartphone also…?

That sounds like a pretty handy program…probably pays for itself over time, especially when you’re able to find recipes for components you already have

You can create your own entries for cartridges, bullets, even powder though I am not sure I would do so myself, but the capability is there.

Edit/ I also like GRT as a nice compliment to QL. GRT gets updates more quickly from the community and has some other functionality that I like to use it for over QL.
