For those of you who reload the .338 WM, what is your favorite bullet and why? Also what is your pet load?

I run the 225gr Accubond, 74grs of H4831sc
Shoots nice little groups out of my Remington 700 KS Custom Kelvar SS Mt Rifle.

I have recently heard reports of meat damage with the Accubonds and was curious what folks here were experiencing. I use the 225gr bullet as my do it all Alaskan load. So far I have taken both a moose and a Dall Ram with this load. I tend to keep shooting until something drops rather than being patient and letting it fall over on its own so hard for me to blame meat damage on the bullet.... ;)

71 grains of RL-17 at standard COAL with a 225 accubond gives me .330 CTC groups at 100 yards at 2930 fps.....which is more than good enough for this guy. :) Of course work up in your own rifle.....

Hey Luke, how have you found RL-17 to be as far as temperature sensitivity goes up yonder??? It shoots great for me but I have not done much testing in various temps but I've heard bad things.

I shoot RL-17 in my 243, 260 rem, 308 win, 30-06, 325 WSM, and 338 WM.....haven't had pressure spikes but I am not shooting long range to really worry about a 100 fps difference in velocity going 0 degrees to 70 degrees either though.

For me it gives great velocity and acceptable accuracy for my hunting needs and works wonders in all those calibers so can't complain for having it as my one and only powder to buy these days.
