Question about new Kifaru belt

Just got a new kifaru duplex belt and they have dropped the upper delta strap and just have the lower one. Just curious if anyone knew why, I liked how the upper one cinched in the bag.

I believe Aron said through rigorous testing it was deemed unnecessary and extra weight.

From my understanding, the upper was often misused/overused by people and would cause some fit issues. I'm sure there is someone on here that knows the reason, if that is not correct.

This is the same reason I had heard. People pulled it too tight causing the belt to bunch. I liked it though, it seemed to suck the load into your back.

I helped test the new frames. It was eliminated to simplify the design, and everyone testing the frame unanimously decided it improved design. A lot of guy would suck that delta strap too tight, and it would bunch the belt.

Though I really like my new frame. I too miss the Delta strap. Definitely helped to stabilize the pack.

I miss the upper delta strap too, I think it made a big difference and would trade my new belt for a older one if I could find one.
