I ordered my OG on June 1st. I was #1222. It arrived at my SOT on June 18. I picked it up this afternoon.

I opted for the bead blasted finish. I think it looks great. Finish is very high quality.

I also ordered the 1/2-28 thread adapter, tool, and cover.

The rifle on which I eventually plan to use the OG is currently in transit to have some work done on it. So, I can only test it on my favorite walking around and practice rifle, a CZ 527 in 6.5mm Grendel with an 18” PAC-NOR barrel.

The rifle, as modified, measures approximately 36.75” and weighs 7.5#. The balance point without the suppressor is right under the magazine release.

The factory CZ 527 in 6.5mm Grendel measures approximately 42.25” and weighs 7.2#. The balance point is slightly forward of the front scope base.

With the Scythe Ti, the rifle measures 42.5” and weighs 8.0#. The balance point is right under the front scope base.

With the OG, the rifle measures 41” and weighs 7.9 pounds. The balance point is slightly forward of the front scope base.

Both rifles above have a Bausch & Lomb Scope Chief 3-9x40 that I picked up for about $160 each. I eventually want to sell the unmodified rifle and get a Trijicon Accupoint for the one I keep.

Feel free to ask any questions you like. I won’t be able to test fire it until June 30th.

While the OG certainly would work well on a little carbine, the rifle I intend to use it on is a Tikka in 6.5 CM with a 20” barrel. But, the reflex advantage to me seems to really come in handy on some of my traditional rifles.

For instance, I really want to try it out on my beloved old .25-06 that I just had rebarreled. Like a fool, I didn’t have it threaded when I got the new Douglas barrel out on it, but that is about to change. This rifle was my baby for years. At about 45.5” long (26” barrel) and 10.7#, it’s always handled like a dream. Whether prone, sitting, or offhand, the rifle just felt right. The previous owner was a little guy, so it has a very short LOP, but I have gotten used to it over the years.

Adding the OG to it - without doing anything else - would only take it up to about 50” and 11.5#. If I take the barrel down to 24”, I should not lose too much velocity and should stay close to the current weight and only a couple of inches longer.

I am very excited about the potential this reflex suppressor opens for me.

Here is a clip of it firing along with a clip of a Scythe Ti on the same rifle.

OG:

Scythe:

Hard to tell the difference from the cell phone microphone recording, but the difference is noticeable as the shooter. The OG still makes my ears ringing slightly (like firing a .22 LR with a short barrel), while the Scythe Ti does not.

I will get some more impressions from others later on.

I am certainly curious to see how this develops. I own a few suppressor all from the "cheap" any suppressor is better then none category & the value add vs performance keeps me intrigued into what a quality suppressor would do.

I definitely need to shoot it more to find out how much I like it. I’m going to see my gunsmith later today. I expect the next rifles I will test it on will be a 21” .270 and the 26” .25-06, but I don’t expect them to be ready for another few days.
