I am not sure where to post this, so I am going to try here. I am interested in giving this a try. This would be my first time ever shooting a match. It says it’s good for first-time shooters. Is anyone shooting in this? I just have some questions about what to expect and what kind of gear I would need. It’s possible that a buddy is going to come with me, so if there’s a group that would welcome 1 or 2 new shooters in their group, that would be cool. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I've shott a couple of their prs matches the last couple of years and shot their nrl match last year. Not sure if I'll make it to this one since I plan on shooting the Laramie NRL shoot the following weekend. Everyone has been super cool. I'm happy to help with any questions

Every firearms competition I have ever been to has been very open and friendly to newbies. A lot of times they will put you together with someone that’s been around a while to show you the ropes. Just show up, tell them you’ve never dome this before and go and have fun. The other key to competitions is to just compete with yourself and ignore the gamers.

I went to my first PRS match this summer.
At the safety brief they asked who was new.
Normally 1st timers will get their shots called.
Had a great time even though I scored 6/60
