I have a pair of boots I have tried my best to break in with no luck. Blister city! I bought another pair which are great.
Not being a quitter I researched the problem. I seen on here or another site where someone suggested a liner sock under your hiking sock. I have quite a few pair of Darn Tough socks. So I researched a line sock and found Injinji Performance Toesock. My wife ordered a pair from Amazon.
So I received the Injinji socks. Put them on topped with a pair of hiking DT. Then I bolted on the heel grinders. I worked all weekend putting in food plots getting on and off the tractor and all the other heave ho that goes with food plots. No problem with my heels .
Then I started laying down some miles preparing for Colorado. No problem.
I won’t bore you guys with all the boot preparation I did only to get my heels clipped. This liner sock is the trick for troubled feet/heels.
I got to say this Injinji liner gets a thumbs up from me. And a thumbs up to who ever posted their love for this liner.

I've noticed, since I've been using Kenetrek's liner sock OVER my base sock, I have not even gotten hot spots while breaking in a pair of Schnee's or Rocky's.

I usually wear a Features brand running sock under my Darn Tough socks, but I'm going try two pairs of these toe socks for fun. They are having a 20% off sale right now on their website.

I figure the liners will be perfect for everyday hunting in the mountains. I can adjust the DT to whatever thickness is needed.

I get blisters between my toes as well and the injinji socks worked perfect to get rid of them. Only problem I’ve had is the durability of their wool socks. They started to get holes between the toes after just a couple uses. Synthetic ones have been great though

Durability is definitely an issue, but they do wonders for certain people that have for a lack of better way to put it... "overlapping" toes. My wife had this problem on hikes, numerous blisters from one toenail rubbing into the other side of another toe, and those Injinjis fixed that right up. I have never needed them but they did wonders for her, but the durability on them is not the best.

They sure LOOK uncomfortable. I remain skeptical.

I had quite a few pairs several years ago, not for me, were not comfortable at all for me, too much material between my toes and it hurt after a bit.

I had the same problem. Being a flatlander and training on the "hills" in the Midwest....once I got to the mountain....I had to be very aware of my feet so I would not get blisters. I got a pair of the Injinji socks also and some other random pairs of liner socks. the Injinji are my favorites! They take a little getting used to the felling of them "hugging" your toes....but man do they work.
