Precipice Outfitters in MT - any experience?

I'm talking to the owner about hunting Montana black Bear this year. Just curious if anyone's hunted with him.

UPDATE - Alan was fantastic. His family was a treat. The country was epic. The hunt was successful. The price was reasonable.

Here's a little more flavor, just for funsies.

The cabin I stayed in. Just big enough to have everything I needed: a bed, a full bathrooms, a space heater, and all the privacy. Some of his hunts will have you in a spike camp, but this one was right out of the homestead.

The country we hunted. Perfect panoramic views of pristine mountain wilderness.


The performance of eld-x 145 @230 yards after smashing through the leg bone. This was the upper entry- side lung lobe.


The bullet ("shrapnel cloud" might be more accurate) then blew the top of the heart off and nearly severed it from its mooring.

Jacket was found lodged in the rib meat on the opposite side. No exit, but it dumped ALL the energy into his shoulder and vitals. Bang-flop.

If you shoot early and have time to kill, Yellowstone is a half hour away!
