So I found myself cruising the local Wally World the other day and came across some dry bags that caught my attention. Close inspection shows rip-stop type material. Waterproof. Three pack with three different sizes. They look a lot like my Kuiu bags and for under $10 for three of them...not sure why they wouldn't do the same trick for packing your valuables. I like the different colors too for quick grab in a dark pack.

I have two that are holding 65lbs of sand in the bed of my truck and another on that's hanging out in my garage. I've had them for a few years, use them mainly for sand bag training.

Would you consider them waterproof? Er...water resistant enough for pack use? 65lbs of sand for a few years is pretty tough...

I would, but they are pretty rigid, you're not going to compress them much. I've been nothing but happy with them.

I've seen some youtube reviews where people are submerging them in water with no leakage. I don't plan on swimming with them but would like them to take a rain shower in my pack. Also, I would be covering the pack as well. I think they may get the "test and see" method

I bought a pack and tore the clips/buckles off all 3 of them with just a little tug. They went right back to wally. I must have had a bad batch.

These are decent bags, after so many years you need to reseal with seam sealer and they are good to go.

I've had that set for a few years. Definitely water resistant but I wouldn't trust em/haven't tested their submerged survivability. I use the med one for my electric raft blower, just to keep it clean. The small one I put my keys, wallet, and phone in then it gets clipped inside a dry box on my raft. The big one we use for TP and hand sanitizer with the groover. That one has been rained on and covered with morning dew many times with no issues, so there's that. They are OK... Low end. I could see using one for a kill kit or something that doesn't come in and out of the pack all the time. I'd think heavy use would break them down over time. But like every thing else at Walmart they're likely batch dependant. I have a couple of their big PVC dry bags that we use for charcoal and trash on salmon trips and their number for the price. My buddy was impressed and picked up the "exact same ones" and they are utter trash.

I use one as my gravity bag for my water filter and it has worked well but I did put Seam sealer on the bottom of it.

I've picked up 2 of those sets sometime in the past 8-10 years. I use them as pullouts for everything. One of the large ones never leaves my pack and holds my first aid kit, spare socks, emergenvy bivy, backup headlamp, P-cord, etc. The medium one holds my anker charger, power cords, spare batteries, SD cards, and anything else electronic that I don't want to get wet. A pair of Kuiu down glassing mitts fit loosely in a medium one as well, with room for a spare beanie and liner gloves. If I'm day hunting I'll usually pack my food in a medium one, so it's in and out of my pack a few times a day. Out of 6 of these bags, I've had one buckle failure on a -25 F morning and that's about it. I was yanking a bag full of food from the depths of an overloaded backpack and it was FREEZING cold, so that break was mostly my fault. I keep them inside my backpack and I'm pretty quick to put a sea-to-summit rain cover on my pack when it's raining, but I haven't had any leaks to date. I'll buy more if/when these ones fail.

I have two sets of those little guys...they are sold at REI and a lot of places besides walls mart.

They are what they are, good little cheap dry bags. I use them on a near daily basis. I use the smallest one all the time to keep my phone dry. I've seam sealed a couple that showed wear and even patched one with duct tape and it's still trucking.

Someone said they're rigid...not the case at all unless they make ones of a different material I'm not aware of.

I have some, they seem decent for the price. Lightweight and assorted sizes.

I have been using these for several years now. I use one for my kill kit and the small one for Phone/gps , spare batteries, charger cord, battery pack, etc.... No problems at all and have used them in some very wet conditions.
