Have a cimmaron with u-turn on order. Does anyone use a pocket stove with this setup?
If so, what are the reaons?
If you just have the uturn have you ever needed a pocket stove, it is it pointless?

Yes,I like to have a quick hot coffee when I get up,it's just faster.Winter(really cold) time the stove is always working hot so I don't bring any gas canisters so I use the wood stove.

On a side note, when you'll burn your uturn stove, the first time DON'T USE the cuts on the stove wall,it will wrap your stove.Thats the biggest con I found on the U-turn stoves line.

100%. It’s nice to have a quick coffee in the morning or for cooking a quick meal at night. MSR pocket rocket or a wind burner is a cheap addition to the u turn!

It takes a long time to boil water on my U-turn, so I have no intention of ever leaving my GS-100 behind. Bring the pocket stove, you can always leave behind on subsequent trips if you find it does not get used.

UTurn can boil water pretty fast if you start a hot fast fire . It doesn’t take much longer than my pocket rocket
