I know this is personal preference but want some others thoughts and what you run.
I have single piece base/rings on all my bolt hunting rifles(4). I prefer the look, simplicity, weight, BUT more and more I find myself picking which rifle I take on a hunt based on what scope is on it. I never change them because that's such a pain. I'm considering changing them all to picatinny rails, primarily so I can easily swap scopes based on what I'm doing, or just put the better glass on the rifle I'm wanting to take as my primary on any given week of hunting. Anyone else do this, go with picatinny for the ease of making changes to rifle/scope combinations?
