Peak 44 Bastion vs Rokstok

Hey everyone,

After years of hunting with a handed down REM 700 7mag, I finally bought my first mountain rifle (6.5 PRC Christensen Mesa FFT). Going to go pick it up Tuesday from my FFL. While the weight did attract me to the gun, I would rather have a vertical grip stock as that has made a big difference for me with my 7mag. I am kind of torn between these two stocks for when I do put it in a new stock. I did really like the feel of the grip on the Peak stock on the Weatherby 307 even though I hear that stock is garbage. That's why I looked into the Bastion in the first place. Part of my reasoning for going down was recoil as well which also attracted me to the Bastion, but I have seen so many rave reviews about the Rokstok it has me thinking. Hoping by the time I can order a stock, the Rokstok will be available again. Anyone have opinions on these two stocks?

UM tikka Build in a Rokstock I believe would a wash on price vs Christensen plus Stock in the future. And better.

I already bought the Christensen at this point so the question about the stock. I like the 700 action personally. I looked at a Tikka but got a great deal on the Christensen so I went with that.

I guess it depends on how antsy you are about changing the stock. I thought hard about buying a Rokstok for my Ridgeline FFT but with the backlog, and how much I disliked the FFT stock's feel, I wanted a new stock, time NOW. I picked up a Bastion that they had on ready to ship. It's a huge improvement for me, so I'm happy. Do I want a Rokstok, yes. When the time comes it may not go on this particular rifle though.
