Parasite in elk meat?

I shot a mule deer buck in Meeker in 2019, mandatory CWD testing area. It took 18 days to get the test back which was positive. DOW refunded me $150 for basic butchering ( needed a receipt). I donated the meat and it was on hold pending testing, DOW instructed me to tell the butcher shop to landfill the meat which I did. DOW did not refund the tag price!

The F&G debts never cease to amaze me....Yeah, it's ok for YOU to eat....we wouldn't touch it without latex gloves...but it fine for you.

Any way you can negotiate a tag for next year? That would be a win win

I would not be eating that or feeding it to my family. I might offer it up to my friends before tossing it, but I'd definitely show them the pics and make sure they were fully aware of the situation.

Agree that you should at least try to leverage it into a tag/points for next season. If they're willing to reissue the tag now maybe they'd be understanding that you can't logistically pull off the same hunt twice in a season.
