Hello, Im new to this forum and am planning a post rut elk hunt in the Mcall area of Idaho this October. I already have the ATF permit to bring my rifle/amo down and am wondering if anything is required paper-work wise in order to bring back my elk (fingers crossed) when I leave Idaho and return to Canada. I would hate to have my meat confiscated because I didn't plan ahead....Anyone with experience/knowledge of this, please let me know!

Thanks!

There is no US to CAN export issue that I am aware of. Only if you are coming back into the US after driving through CAN. A simple form is all that is needed for that.

You will need to have your ID permit and licence on you when you bring the meat back into CAN. Your providence may have restrictions on game meat that are more restrictive than CAN policy.
