Strange question, but I got a brand new pair of Sitka Mountain pants, and I would say they fit just perfectly when wearing them alone. My concern is when I try them on with my base layer, they are a little snug, and plenty snug when I tuck my shirt in.
I have a pair of Ascent pants that are the next size (2") larger, and they are a little loose. When I have a base layer on and shirt tucked in, there is still a little wiggle room, but they aren't like falling off me or anything. I also typically wear suspenders, and the Mountain pants have a built in belt.
I'm concerned that pants that are a little loose are going to be annoying when carrying a pack and stuff.
Anyone have any advice for me? Do they stretch out a little after wearing them for a bit like jeans do? I will probably try wearing them around the house for the next couple days and see what I think.
