What did you wear for pants? Last week of Aug- early Sept. I plan to take 1 pair of regular pants to keep weight down. I will also have a merino base layer, puffy pants and rain pants. I expect to probably have the rain pants on over my regular pants most of the time. I usually wear EB Guide for most of my hunting but I don't know if they are right for this trip. I also have some Fjällräven Vidas I like for later season but being cotton I don't like the idea of them being my one pant. Just picked up some KUIU Guide which have a fleece backing and now I am thinking they may be too warm if I am moving and had to have my rain pants over them. I have some Sitka TImberlines but I think that may be in the same boat with the KUIU Giude.

Thinking about maybe the SG De Havilland or the lite. The long leg zips seem like a good idea and makes them versatile in a wider temp range. KUIU Attack maybe? Any non hunting brand pant recommendations?

The SG De Havilland seems like a great fit for what you're looking for. Attack pant as well but the ventilation is better on the De Havilland

I can’t comment as I’ve only been on the North side of the brooks. But good luck! At the end of the day pants are just pants. They are totally optional so I wouldn’t put much thought in it.
