I recently picked up a Kuiu Icon Pro 1850 and started to use it for my daypack for hunting.

This weekend I am out in Nebraska hunting WT doe with my ML.
I was fortunate this morning to take a nice doe but I was about a mile from my truck.

So I did the gutless method and loaded up the 1850 with all the meat.

It was a nice fit and pack out.
Definitely beats dragging!

Must be fake news everyone here says kuiu isn’t suitable for packing meat (sarcasm)

Nice job!!!

Not everyone. I packed about #110 pounds of elk meat in the 1850 about 6 years ago. I am not saying it was enjoyable, but the pack didn't fail. The Kuiu packs are one of the best at there at their price point. But their price point just doesn't get them into the top tier of back country hunting packs.

I only have pre pack photos, but I can tell you the meat was squeezing out in every opening around the straps.

The new meat bags that are more tubular shaped would have worked much better.

The elk was taken out in one trip by my brother and I.
