I'm hoping to be in Utah 2 days before the opener, will GW's give me crisp or even worse if I have my bow strapped to my pack while I'm hiking and scouting? I figure the last thing I'm gonna want to do if I see a shooter buck the day before the opener is hike out to get my bow. What say you?

Not sure about UT but here in CO I've hiked in a day or two before season to get that final scouting in and plan made and was fine. Ran into a DOW Officer last year at trail-head and we talked for a minute and absolutely no issues at all. He didn't care one bit and we just BS'd about my upcoming hunt. They understand what your doing. Just don't use it before season haha

Take the string off and tell him it is a walking stick. Never mind you have wheels on that bow. You will most likely go to jail and do some hard time!!!!! You should not have any troubles. We are packing in two days early in Colorado this year. If they have a license for any hing available I will buy it, this way I have a shot at one critter (Then I can catch up with PARVO).
